Fruity or Indulgent? DAVIDsTEA Mamma Mia vs. Red Velvet Cake

Sorry for the delay everyone!

I didn't get a chance to post, but we're back on track with 2 new teas that are great when you're in need of some new flavors in your tea selection! So do you like fruity notes with refreshing taste, or do you like to indulge in full-body rich tastes?  I have teas that will suit either preference!

Let's start with fruity!  DAVIDsTEA Mamma Mia Herbal Tea is a extravagant combination of dried fruits and fruity flavours that will tantalize your taste buds.

Some of the major flavors in this tea come from hibiscus, candied fruits like pineapple and papaya, orange peel, coconut, and cinnamon.

The funny thing about this tea is that it tastes refreshing and fruity when cold, but makes a great dessert tea to relax with when served hot.  The candied fruits add enough sweetness, so no sweeteners are required.  Also, there's no caffeine in this blend; don't worry about insomnia.  This is a limited offering that was brought out for Summer 2012, so if you're serious about trying, you'll have to act fast!  I just restocked!

The tea itself brews into a rich red colour

Next up is the DAVIDsTEA Red Velvet Cake Black Tea.  This tea is advertised as the lower-calorie alternative to Red Velvet Cake. I wouldn't go so far as say that's true, but it is quite a nice tea if you're looking for a rich & sweet tea.

The added sprinkles inside this blend make it the perfect tea for kids as well!

There are actual semi-sweet and white chocolate chips in this tea to give it chocolatey flavour!  Also, there is no need to add sugar to this tea as the sprinkles, in the mix, already add enough sweetness.  Try this tea as a tea latte too if you want some extra milky goodness!  Check back soon for a tea latte how-to tutorial!

It comes in a collectable 100g tin too! (I have one!)

Tea of the Day: DAVIDsTEA Buttered Rum Black Tea

Evening fellow tea connoisseurs,

On a gloomy day like this, with freezing temperatures that chill you to the bone, we all need something to warm our hands and body.  Take a moment and let the warmth of today's tea brighten up your day.  I present to you DAVIDsTEA Buttered Rum Black Tea.
 The DAVIDsTEA Buttered Rum Blend

Like the warmth of a glass of aged rum can fill throughout your body, this tea has that same effect sans the alcohol.  Its warm buttery flavor is achieved with a blend of black tea leaves, coconut flakes, vanilla beans, and cornflower petals.  This tea is perfect after a meal, or after a cold day out and about.  You could try it iced, but to get the full effect of its warm goodness, I recommend it hot! Happy tea-drinking!

Tea of the Day: DAVIDsTEA Toasted Walnut Green Tea

Today I am cozily sipping away at a cup of DAVIDsTEA Toasted Walnut Green Tea.  To be honest, this is the very first tea that I tried from the company!  This tea has a marvelous mix of lightly toasted walnuts, dried pineapple, nut brittle, sencha green tea leaves, and coconut.  It is also one of the few teas that tastes exactly like it smells.  This tea is always fully stocked in my tea cabinet.  If you want to try a new tea, but might not be too adventurous, this is the tea for you!

Timolino x DAVIDsTEA Aluminum Travel Mug

*DISCLAIMER: I was not paid or have any affiliation with DAVIDsTEA*

This is truly an awesome product.  I wish I had used it sooner!  DAVIDsTEA has carried the Timolino travel mug for as long as I can remember because it is truly a great product.  Lets go through some of its amazing traits

1. It ultimately is a thermos.  Like any other thermos, it keeps tea hot for long periods of time!

2. It has a built-in removable tea strainer/diffuser.  Either put the tea leaves inside the basket to diffuse and remove when desired, or leave the tea leaves in the mug while the tea basket strains the tea leaves from getting into your mouth when drinking!

3. My favourite part: it has a hidden compartment inside the lid that you can store some tea leaves to drink at a later time.  It's completely sealed, so your tea leaves are safe from accidental soaking!

4. OK maybe I have a second favourite part: This aluminum version is both modern and minimalistic!  It's perfect for travel and is very durable and leak-proof as well.

We have a winner here!  If you want to bring your tea on the go, I highly recommend the Timolino x DAVIDsTEA travel mug! It also comes in Pearl White and Black
